Description[edit | edit source]

This page is intended to document the actions taken by Sony when they perform official repairs to PS3 consoles.

General[edit | edit source]

  • OEM stickers are replaced; for regions that have dates/datecodes on them, they are updated accordingly.
    • For slim (and potentially super slim) models, an official "PlayStation refurbished" sticker is also applied.
  • The CELL BE run time counter is reset to zero.

SKU Models[edit | edit source]

Fat/Phat[edit | edit source]

COK-00x[edit | edit source]

  • CECHA/CECHB/CECHE: ZSSR539IA replaced with APS-226 (if it doesn't have one already)
  • BD-400 replaced with BD-410
  • Felt added to Blu-ray drive entry on top-most part of shell
  • Grey felt strip added under Blu-ray drive, replacing smaller grey fabric
  • CELL BE brace added
  • RSX replaced with a newer one
    • If the RSX is 65nm or 40nm, a sticker is added under the USB ports (40 for 40nm, 65 for 65nm) to indicate. Also the Syscon chip is replaced (with different programming) so that the PS3 can accept the smaller RSX
