Description[edit | edit source]
This page is intended to document the actions taken by Sony when they perform official repairs to PS3 consoles.
General[edit | edit source]
- OEM stickers are replaced; for regions that have dates/datecodes on them, they are updated accordingly.
- For slim (and potentially super slim) models, an official "PlayStation refurbished" sticker is also applied.
- The CELL BE run time counter is reset to zero.
SKU Models[edit | edit source]
Fat/Phat[edit | edit source]
COK-00x[edit | edit source]
- CECHA/CECHB/CECHE: ZSSR539IA replaced with APS-226 (if it doesn't have one already)
- BD-400 replaced with BD-410
- Felt added to Blu-ray drive entry on top-most part of shell
- Grey felt strip added under Blu-ray drive, replacing smaller grey fabric
- CELL BE brace added
- RSX replaced with a newer one
- If the RSX is 65nm or 40nm, a sticker is added under the USB ports (40 for 40nm, F for 65nm) to indicate. Also the Syscon chip is replaced (with different programming) so that the PS3 can accept the smaller RSX
