Description
This page is intended to document the actions taken by Sony when they perform official repairs to PS3 consoles.
General
- OEM stickers are replaced; for regions that have dates/datecodes on them, they are updated accordingly
- For slim (and potentially super slim) models, an official "PlayStation refurbished" sticker is also applied
SKU Models
Fat/Phat
COK-00x
- PSU replaced with APS-226/APS-227 (if it doesn't have one already)
- BD-400 replaced with BD-410
- Felt added to Blu-ray entrance interior
- Grey felt strip added underneath BD-410, smaller grey fabric removed
- CELL BE brace added
- RSX replaced with a newer revision
- If the RSX is 65nm or 40nm, a sticker is added under the USB ports (40 for 40nm, F for 65nm) to indicate. Also the Syscon chip is replaced (with different programming) so that the PS3 can accept the smaller RSX. This has the side effect of resetting the CELL BE run time counter to zero
