Product Code has many meanings:
- In Software, the Product Code is derived from the Console ID.
- On BD discs and bundles: the Productcode is present on the cover and on the disc.
- On physical equipments like consoles: is is often on the package near the serial number and on a label on the back of the product. See Serial Numbers.
- On internal hardware components like motherboards: the "productcode" is written on almost every component and is also registered on the Serial Flash or Non Volatile Storage of most PlayStation consoles.
