Recording Game Material through the Dualshock share button Button

Note: The following case is based on one Console only. There might be more research from another people needed.

  • File extension: .mp4
  • Video Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC
  • Resolution: 1280x720 px (720p)
  • Frames per second (FPS): 29.970030 (30p)
  • Audio Codec: MPEG AAC Audio (.mp4a)
  • Channels: 2x channels (Stereo)
  • Sampling rate: 48000 Hz

It seems that developers can block not only the complete recording from a Game through the Dualshock share button Button, but they can also decide which content from the Game Title can be disabled after the recording. The following video shows a recording through the Dualshock share button Button from the Game Title Grand Theft Auto V (CUSA-00411), which is famous for the In-Game Soundtrack distributed through several radio stations (which is a standard characteristic feature in the Grand Theft Auto series). This video is based on switching several times through several radio stations, but it seems that the Dualshock share button Button doesn't record and/or disables the audio from those radio stations probably to avoid a recording from the Soundtrack for ripping purposes, while any other sound effects (SFX - like Car Noises, People's voices, Police radio, Shooting sounds and many more) are included in this recorded video.
