The Publisher ID is a 6-character-long label assigned by SCE to an application publisher for a specific region. A publisher that publishes a content in different regions has one different Publisher ID for each region.

The Publisher ID format is XXYYYY. XX is a region, usually one letter + "P" standing for publisher and YYYY is an incremental per-region number.

Example: EP9000 (Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe)

Regions[edit | edit source]

  • JP = Japan
  • UP = North America (including United States)
  • EP = Europe
  • HP = Hong Kong ?or Asia?
  • AP = China
  • KP = Korea
  • IP = ?Internal or International?
  • UT = ?Universal? Theme
  • ET = Avatar for PSN account
  • UX = ?User eXperience?
  • US = ?USA? Service
  • IS = ?International Service? as seen in PlayMemories Camera Apps (see [1])
  • JA = ?Japan Accessory?

Incremental number[edit | edit source]

The incremental number is unique only for a specific region and also segmented by offsets:

  • 0: third party
  • 9000: Sony first party
