Backup And Restore

The Backup And Restore utility allows a PS4 owner to back-up and restore his hard disc drive data associated with users on his PS4, including settings, saved data, screenshots and video clips as well as games, patches and download data, to and from an external USB drive.

The BAR utility is available on PS4 since System Software version 2.508.000 only on CEX target. It is maybe enabled only if a PS4 user has been connected to a PSN account.

When backuping fPKG games, the BAR utility also backups the licenses associated with these games because they are considered "free" licenses by the system.

The BAR utility works with some archive.dat files.
