* I think it's bad idea to throw all CyberConnect2 games into one "category". There are 2 different VU game engines they used. One for .hack/Naruto, and one for .hack//G.U. Those configs are not interchangeable, so it isn't "alternative". .hack//G.U. config will do nothing for .hack/Naruto, same goes other way. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by 20 configs extracted. Like documented on wiki? There is no point to put all (~700) of them on that page imo. Just one maybe two per command so user have config example, otherwise people can just use Zar's repository (eventually we can backup txts on wiki). About shared/unique. This is something that 99% of time will be command dependent. 0x09, 0x0A 0x0B, 0x0F, etc. not gonna be shared no matter what (unless custom), 0x07, 0x08, 0x15 etc. will be shared 99% of times. Cmd 0x12 will be shared without type 1/2/3 subcommand, unique with them, since it hit game offset. Etc, etc. Btw. Whole point of 0x08 command (VU patch), is to make config shared. You can replace that with 0x09/0x0A/0x0B since VU code is usually read from elf/disc anyway. But then you need to patch every game separately. --Kozarovv (talk) 05:26, 18 September 2022 (UTC) | * I think it's bad idea to throw all CyberConnect2 games into one "category". ** Actually, it was me who grouped the CC2 games into the one entry. The NTSC-U/C config for .hack/G.U. is the unique one which does use the XGKICK delay, while the NTSC-J equivalent of the same game does use the 0x08 command like the rest of CyberConnect2 releases. That is why I assumed both configs are interchangeable. Regarding the purpose of the page itself, I agree with you and that is how I wanted the page to look like. I wanted to inspect the most interesting configs one by one, provide a technical explanation (at least on level I could) and describe them. But sandungas started adding every single Classics config, even without any description, and reverted my edits supposed to clean the page (one config per game, if the only difference is the EE offset). As a result, I gave up and stopped any contribution here and the other config page, along with the compatibility list.--Agrippa (talk) 09:32, 18 September 2022 (UTC) | ** Actually, it was me who grouped the CC2 games into the one entry. *** Hmm, ok. So you were correct to merge them actually. I never looked what their 0x08 patch do. They just transfer packet ponter from vi01 to vi03, and then move XGKICK to different place (and to vi03). So is like a manual rearrange to delay kick instead of use 0x07. Weird, but indeed do the same thing (80000EFC = xgkick vi01 80000EFC = xgkick vi03). --Kozarovv (talk) 10:58, 18 September 2022 (UTC) | *** Hmm, ok. *The official config for naruto "uzumaki" games (SLUS-21498, SLES-54727, SLUS-21594, SLES-55090) is different than the official configs of all the other naruto games, and we dont have it displayed in frontpage under the "cyberconnect2 games" page section, why is that ? --Sandungas (talk) 04:33, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
** Cause they are not CC2 games and the configs are also broken. The custom configs properly fix the freezing issues those games have while the gx configs do nothing. --Mrjaredbeta (talk) 16:13, 20 September 2022 (UTC)

*In aldo's database there is a custom config for SLUS_215.74 (dawn of mana), i guess this custom config superseds the official, right ?, and how we should label the official SLPM_665.76 ?, is waiting to be superseded by a port of the custom SLUS_215.74 to SLPM_665.76 ?. There are also custom configs for SLUS_205.71 and SLES_512.20 (TY the Tasmanian Tiger), this ones are supposed to supersed the officials ? --Sandungas (talk) 06:42, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
** SLPM_665.67 should be the same config as the other customs, I just forgot to add that version as a config. It should be treated the same as the others (supersede because of the 0x2F sound fix). The TY customs are an experimental fix for freezing. As I have not encountered any freezing with or without the config in my little testing, I am unsure if it does anything. I only added cause 0x21 fixes freezes in King Arthur which is also developed by Krome. --Mrjaredbeta (talk) 15:58, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
***Got it, i deleted 3 game names (page sections) from front page that was superseded by better custom configs, i think the official configs for the TY games can be deleted in the wiki official lists too, if needed we can mention the customs in the other wiki page with a comment telling that are "experimental", after all we are not 100% sure if the game works fine without config --Sandungas (talk) 03:48, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

Those configs are not interchangeable, so it isn't "alternative". .hack//G.U. config will do nothing for .hack/Naruto, same goes other way. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by 20 configs extracted. --Kozarovv (talk) 05:26, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

- Cause they are not CC2 games and the configs are also broken. The custom configs properly fix the freezing issues those games have while the gx configs do nothing. --Mrjaredbeta (talk) 16:13, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
- In aldo's database there is a custom config for SLUS_215.74 (dawn of mana), i guess this custom config superseds the official, right ?, and how we should label the official SLPM_665.76 ?, is waiting to be superseded by a port of the custom SLUS_215.74 to SLPM_665.76 ?. There are also custom configs for SLUS_205.71 and SLES_512.20 (TY the Tasmanian Tiger), this ones are supposed to supersed the officials ? --Sandungas (talk) 06:42, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- SLPM_665.67 should be the same config as the other customs, I just forgot to add that version as a config.
- Got it, i deleted 3 game names (page sections) from front page that was superseded by better custom configs, i think the official configs for the TY games can be deleted in the wiki official lists too, if needed we can mention the customs in the other wiki page with a comment telling that are "experimental", after all we are not 100% sure if the game works fine without config --Sandungas (talk) 03:48, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
