Automatic Volume Limiter System (AVLS) is an option, enabled through software or hardware, that limits the maximum volume level.
This can prevent annoying sound from escaping from the headphones, discomfort in the ears, and the possible many deadly dangers resulting from being unable to hear what is going on around you when wearing headphones.
Select the checkbox to set a checkmark to prevent the volume from exceeding a certain level.
Depending on (manufacturing date/ date code?) model, when a total of 20 hours of playback is reached when this setting is off, the setting is automatically turned on.
- not launch models, but later on 2012.
