Firmware installation without data loss[edit | edit source]
- This will keep all data including games, save data.
- Download your current or later firmware file on your PC by visiting one of the sites (do not get full/recovery firmwares - get update firmware):
- https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps5/system-software/ - Official Sony Site, will always going to be the latest firmware
- https://darksoftware.xyz/PS5/FWlist - DarkSoftware, can choose which firmware, faster download speeds but requires account creation. Note!: Do NOT download a lower firmware than current, it will NOT install.
- https://darthsternie.net/ps5-firmwares/ - Darthsternie's Firmwares, can choose which firmware, slower download speeds but no account needed. Note!: Do NOT download a lower firmware than current, it will NOT install.
