Contains a maximun of 32 flags that can be turned on/off to activate/deactivate special boot modes and features of the content.
Values are stored in "Little Endian" format inside the SFO, to represent the whole tables in a "human readable" format has been needed to convert them to "Big Endian" and then to "[http://tizzyt-archive.blogspot.jp/2013/08/learning-binary.html Binary]".

Remote play is a feature that displays the PS3 screen on a PSP or a PSVita enabling remote operations over a wireless LAN. See: [[Remote Play]]
}}
{{Boxframe0|content={{dot}}'''PSP Export''' ''(firmware v1.70)''<BR />
Used in PS1 Classics, PSP Minis, and PSP Games. Allows the copy of the game to a PSP by pressing {{padtriangle}} over the game icon and selecting the option <span style="background:#bbbbff;">[Copy]</span> in the side menu. This export process is closelly related with how the PS3 manages the downloads and installation of content from PSN using temporal subfolders in ''dev_hdd0/vsh/task/''. See [[Project Database (PDB)]]
}}
}}
{{Boxframe1|content='''XMB In-Game''' (short {{padps}} press)
{{Boxframe0|content={{dot}}'''XMB In-Game Forced Enable''' ''(firmware v2.40)''<BR />
Games released/compiled before firmware 2.40 doesnt uses "XMB In-Game" even when launched in higher firmwares. This flag enables "XMB In-Game" for these old games, the flag has no effect in games released after 2.40 because newer games has "XMB In-Game" enabled by default. See: [[XMB#XMB Modes|XMB Modes]].
}}
{{Boxframe0|content={{dot}}'''XMB In-Game Disabled''' ''(firmware v2.40)''<BR />
Disables "XMB In-Game", the flag works in all games and doesnt causes any problem, useful to free ram and to improve the loading time of the menu. See: [[XMB#XMB Modes|XMB Modes]].
}}
{{Boxframe0|content={{dot}}'''XMB In-Game Background Music''' ''(firmware v2.40)''<BR />
When enabled allows to play your own music from the files stored in your HDD by using the icon that appears in XMB {{icon category music}} column, is posible to play single songs or a playlist and then return to the game while your music is playing. See [[XMB In-game background music]]
}}
}}
{{Boxframe0|content={{dot}}'''System Voice Chat ?'''<BR />
Speculation: Not clear if the flag enables or disables voice chat, and not clear wich kind of voice chat (in the very probable case there are severals chat modes/types), supposed to be valid before Jun 2010, matching chronologigally the release of "home" (probably used in beta stages of the developing of chat functions inside "Home" enviroment to make internall tests related with voice chat). Enabling the flag manually for testing in different SFO's with different CATEGORY's didnt give any result

== Wikitable default settings has been changed ==
You have some idea when/why/how the header color of the default class="wikitable" has changed to white ?
Some months ago the header of the tables (the rows starting with ! character) was blue to keep some consistency of colors with the templates used on main wiki page
Now with the tables in full white looks cheaper, is a small detail, but if there is no reason for the change i think is good to return to the previous look, also i guess is posible other default settings we was using for wikitables has been lost too the same day the color of the headers changed
If i remember correctlly the settings we was using was not the defaults, it was changed several times by eussNL when we was discussing about wiki styles and consistency of colors. So is posible that an update of the mediawiki version has updated/overwrited them
The same problem happens in PS4 wiki
It's very likely that this is because of a new update from the MediaWiki, which defyboy installed after the massive Spam deletion and after the wiki was down several times. But you can change the colors easily like you can see it now on this page on the table above :) I think you mean the color #B3B7FF like in "for bootable content" and for the right side of the table. - Roxanne.
So the problem appeared when updating wiki, i see. Adding the color individually for every table is a noway, are hundred of tables affected included all the tables in PS4 wiki, so the only way to solve it in a good way is by finding where are stored that settings and try to see if we can change otherway ask defyboy to change it. The headers color was a light blue, more like #ddddff or #eeeeff
I'm not 100% sure if this happend because of a update from MediaWiki but as far as I know there were some [http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Special:Version updates] before and also after the new captcha system was implemented on both wikis. As far as I see this, you need to change such settings on root and only defyboy and eussNL have such access, but I will inform defyboy about this topic.
Tell him also that this extension is broken, doesnt works here http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Special:WhosOnline
== PS2 "majorissues" and "minorissues" ==
Hey Roxanne, I saw you did a lot of work on the PS2 Compatibility page for making it look nice and purdy; is there any way you can fix the template so that "majorissues" and "minorissues" show up as "Major Issues" and "Minor Issues"? It's how it used to display on the old devwiki. Cheers :)
* Done (but you have to still input the template in lowercase and written together. It could also take a few hours until the [[PS2 Classics Emulator Compatibility List|PS2 Compatiblity Page]] will be updated correctly - ([[User talk:Roxanne|Roxanne]] - 10th April 2017 - 19:48 GMT+2)

== Reading PS3/PS4/PS5 BD Discs on PC ODD's ==
* Mediatek Chipset Controller with an "+6 Read Offset" is needed for reading PS3/PS4/PS5 BD Discs on a PC Optical Disc Drive
* If a Drive is able to read the PS3 Disc, then it's likely that it will read the PS4 Disc as well (PS5 needs testing [BDXL!])
* Laptop Drives are known troublemakers, even when it's supported by a few Drives / 5.25" External Enclosures works fine

A "wiki" is a '''open-collaborative''' encyclopedia for '''everyone''' while the content of this wiki specifically is available under the well-known [http://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/fdl-1.2.txt "GNU Free Documentation License 1.2"].<br>Those two Guidelines are mandatory for every wiki running inside the Internet for all wikis outside there, yet even the non-profit Organization behind ''wikipedia.org'' is even running<br>with those two features up today since 2001.
Therefore it is impossible that one person claim a Page and/or an Article for his/her own by saying "this is *my* User Page" or something like "you can't edit *my* Talk Page",<br>by thinking one can post anything you want to like. It is both impossible from a '''technical''' standpoint, as well from a '''ethical''' one because no one *owns* a Page or an Article.
If one can't accept these two simple Guidelines, then a wiki is already 'doomed' before it has even launched!
== CAPTCHA problem when adding new links ==
I do not understand a wiki well, so I am not sure if it is a proper way of communication. I am here to report a problem with a CAPTCHA. I would like to add a link in the PS2 Compatibility List, but it shows me the message to solve the CAPTCHA. The problem is no CAPTCHA box does appear at all.
* Try it now again while logged-in with your Account. [[User:Roxanne|Roxanne]] ([[User talk:Roxanne|Talk]]) - 1st July 2021 / 16:48 GMT+1

== Firmware versions displays simplifyed ==
I hope you like [[Special:Diff/57542/60263|this edit]], is something i been thinking [[Special:Diff/48828/49793|since many time ago]] but i was not sure how to do it, sorry for not advising you before doing the related wiki changes but yesterday i was doing the experiments and i was confident it was going to look nice. I think is a solid solution to the problem you have been suffering since months ago when you was doing a new image for every new firmware released, now thats not needed, we just need to update the texts in [[Template:latestPS5]], [[Template:latestPS4]], [[Template:latestPS3]], [[Template:latestPSV]], [[Template:latestPSP]], is a lot easyer because everybody can do it--[[User:Sandungas|Sandungas]] ([[User talk:Sandungas|talk]]) 14:48, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
* I like the idea but I think people tend to click on the Firmware syntax itself and not only on the PS logos, so I tried [[Special:Diff/60247/60293|this]] if it is ok for you, feel free to add it to the rest of the Firmwares, or otherwise revert my edit. [[User:Roxanne|Roxanne]] ([[User talk:Roxanne|talk]]), 13th July 2021 - 18:58 (GMT+1)<br>
Agreed, most people is going to click in the numbers instead of the images, i forgot about that detail while doing the experiments about trying to figure how to rebuild it. I reverted your edit in [[Template:latestPS5]] because i added the link in the [[Template:News]], also because is better to keep that templates the most simples posible, this way can be created other templates (if needed) to add more addons, e.g: <nowiki>[[{{latestPS3}}_CEX|{{latestPS3}}]]</nowiki> and call it <nowiki>[[Template:latestPS3wikipage]]</nowiki> (resulting in a internal link to page: [[4.88_CEX|4.88]]), or <nowiki><abbr title="latest version {{latestPS3}}">{{latestPS3}}</abbr></nowiki> and call it <nowiki>[[Template:latestPS3abbr]]</nowiki> (this is what the old <nowiki>[[Template:latest]]</nowiki> was doing, but that "abbr" should be considered a non-generic addon, and this kind of template with addons should be build "on top" of the basic <nowiki>[[Template:latestPS3]]</nowiki> and using a name derivated from it). Actually, when i was replacing the old <nowiki>[[Template:latest]]</nowiki> by the new <nowiki>[[Template:latestPS3]]</nowiki> in other pages i realized there was some that was using it that way. Returning to the [[Template:News]] changes... now the images have a link+description and the numbers have the link only, we could add the description to the numbers too with a <nowiki><abbr></nowiki> but this displays some dots at bottom that looks a bit weird, all and all the only flaw of the new firmware info boxes is that there is a "no clickable area" in between the image and the numbers but this is a very tricky problem. I been googling a bit and wikipedia have a template named literally [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Clickable_button Clickable button] but i went lost trying to figure how they did it, the current design we are using is open for that kind of improvements if some of you wants to play around with it and finds how to improve it go for it, after all i have not changed it much visually, is the same concept you did initially and i liked it. Btw, the same can be made in PS4 wiki and the other day i was reading about a tricky mediawiki feature that could be convenient for this case, is like a page transclusion from external wikis but the wiki that loads the page from the other wiki is updated with the page content of the other (it does a "copypaste" of the other page, i guess only if they differs), we could do that in between PS3 and PS4 wiki domains (not sure if also with the others). Last detail that worths to be mentioned is that it could be awesome if we find how to use this special transclusions to "grab" the firmware numbers from the the sony servers links and update the [[Template:latestPS5]], [[Template:latestPS4]], [[Template:latestPS3]], [[Template:latestPSV]], [[Template:latestPSP]] automatically with them, this way sony would be updating wiki on real time, ironic and awesome feature, or alternativelly, maybe we can grab them from a page in wikipedia or... dunno--[[User:Sandungas|Sandungas]] ([[User talk:Sandungas|talk]]) 12:07, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
== Page does not work when logged out ==
I wish to let you know the [[PS2 Official Configs]] page does work only if you are logged in. If not, a blank page is seen instead.

== Frankenstein Mod article? ==
Hello it's me again <tt>:)</tt> I've been mulling over the creation of a Frankenstein Mod article on here. Recently I have been in contact with a seasoned Frankenstein Modder based in the UK (same place as me) and he has provided me with a lot of photos of his work. Notably, he's also Frank Modded non PS2 compatible models such as the CECHG with a 40nm RSX which I added [[SEM-00x#Pictures|here]], I plan to upload them for the other models soon too when I have time to go through the images.
He said that he has done and sold over a hundred of Frank Mod consoles without a single one returned as faulty, so I think he is a reliable source of information. I have first hand experience of his work as he brought back to life a YLOD CECHA00 that I sent him. He also thinks such an article on here would provide clarity to the process and concept, as you can imagine a lot of people ask him what it is/how it works and it would be good to have an easily accessible source of truth. I think you're the only active administrator on the wiki hence why I am asking you. Thoughts? If yes I'll be happy to construct the article while liaising with him, and other input is welcome. * Hey, I really like the idea from both of you. In fact I remember about the story who someone used Slim parts built into a Fat Console. Funny detail is that even Sony did the same for [[SKU Models Nonretail#DECR_Series|non-retail]] consoles sent for repair or another service in the past. :) Your contact is welcome to register to this wiki as well and I can set up everything for him/her to make editing the wiki as easy as it is for you now. Personally I see two possibilities how we should handle this:
** Either we create a whole new (sub)category for such modded consoles within [[Hardware Modification]]
** or we update each [[Console Information|console SKU page]] within which types of Hardware are interchangeable and which not (kinda like a "'''PS3 Hardware Modding Compatibility List'''")
* Maybe we can discuss this on [https://discord.gg/K7fjFt3 Discord] as well [[User:Roxanne|Roxanne]] ([[User talk:Roxanne|talk]]) - February 11th 2024 - 17:50 GMT+1
:Hi, I've joined the Discord. I think my contact doesn't want to be too involved in the wiki side of things, but he's happy to relay information to me and I can write it up (I'm a seasoned wiki editor, not on this wiki but over 10 years on other wikis so I'm quite familiar with markup etc). I'll see what he thinks and we can take it from there. I may put a message in the Discord as well. [[User:Daft|Daft]] ([[User talk:Daft|talk]]) 00:54, 13 February 2024 (CET)
