The chip/package looks very similar to the CXD9731GP SPEED [https://ps2drives.x-pec.com/images/guide_westerndigital/easymod/DSC00159.jpg] chip. That makes sense since (early) SPEED partly functions as a PCI <-> SSBUS adapter.

*Little bit disappointed that my theory was wrong but still, it's unique and interesting piece of hardware. I imagine this need to be at least as functional as early SPEED. Probably used for little bit more, like communication with CDVD, maybe with some Mechacon (at least cdvd part) replacement/emu, SIO2, and is general I/O bridge for emulated IOP to PS3 hardware. This make ps2_emu little bit more interesting than i though and explain few changes done between COK-001 and COK-002 ps2 emulators in terms of PS2 hardware devices handling. Thanks for your help. :) --[[User:Kozarovv|Kozarovv]] ([[User talk:Kozarovv|talk]]) 09:39, 5 October 2022 (UTC)<br>
