When replacing a PARAM.SFO from a game stored on the internal HDD (using a file manager, FTP, etc...), the system will not note the application as being able to be used during remote play at first. This occurs because the system will initially read a cached version of the original file, which will not reflect any of the changes made.

So in resume... the XMB is refreshed when you boot it for first time so you need to boot it two times to load the new PARAM.SFO.
