[[KES-400A]] is the laser mounted in [[KEM-400AAA]] slide, in Blu-Ray Drive model [[BD-400]] with daughterboards [[BMD-001]], [[BMD-002]], and [[BMD-003]]. Used in [[CECHAxx]], [[CECHBxx]], [[CECHCxx]], [[CECHExx]] [[CECHGxx]] PS3 models (all retail Fat PS3's manufactured before october 2007)
[[KES-400A]] is a laser, mounted in [[KEM-400AAA]] slide, in BD drive revision [[BD-400]] slide. It has 1 lens with 2 lasers, one for CD/DVD and one for BluRay discs.
The daughterboard is [[BMD-001]].


It has a single can with the CD, DVD, and blu-ray laser diodes inside.  The outgoing and return beams are separated by a pair of polarizing beam-splitter cubes.  The only moving parts are a lens on a micro stepper motor controlled linear stage, and the objective lens.
This slide is used in [[CECHAxx]] up to [[CECHGxx]] SKU.
