Matsushita/Panasonic

  • ETXNY296J9A (100V); Sony part no. 1-468-540-11 (which output voltage? which chassis? goes into a SCPH-18000 console, but is it A+ or AB?)

A/A+ chassis (SCPH-10000 and SCPH-15000, GH-003 based SCPH-18000)

The earliest retail PS2 power supplies, used in early japanese consoles. These power supllies are region-exclusive.

Warning: Despite having the same mechanical form factor as later 12 V power supplies, GH-001 and GH-003 take 8.5 V! Installing a 12 V power supply in these consoles will damage them!

Specifications

AB chassis (GH-008 based SCPH-18000 series)

Uses an identical form factor to the power supplies used in A and A+ chassis (GH-001 and GH-003), however, this power supply outputs 12 V instead.

Specifications
Wattage ?
Output voltage 12 V Never install these power supplies in an 8.5 V console (A/A+ chassis)!
Max output amperage ?
Input voltage 100 V (Japan)
Input frequency 50 / 60 Hz

  • ETXNY338J7A (100V); Sony part no. 1-476-630-11

B/B'/C/C' chassis (early SCPH-3XXXX series)

Used in early north-american and european consoles. These power-supplies are region-exclusive. They retain the same basic form factor as the early japanese power supplies, but output 12 V to support internal HDDs. The exact location of the power connector has been slightly offset to the left to make room for a screw hole to the right side of it.

D/D'/F/G chassis (later SCPH-3XXXX series)

Used in later SCPH-3XXXX consoles across all regions. These power supplies are region-exclusive. Compared to earlier power supplies, the form factor has changed significantly.

Picture of a leaky capacitor on an ADP-75JP C, next to the heatsink. Notice the area on the PCB where dust adheres to, as well as green residue and corrosion on surrounding components' legs. The damage on the picture prevented the power supply from powering up; it instantly went into safety shutdown and then restarted, causing an audible periodic clicking sound. Replacing the capacitor and cleaning off the electrolyte residue on the PCB and surrounding components fixed this power supply. This is a known issue with all fat PS2 Delta PSUs.
