Overview

The PlayStation controller is the first gamepad released by Sony Interactive Entertainment for its PlayStation home video game console. The original version (model SCPH-1010) was released alongside the PlayStation on 3 December 1994.

SCPH-1010 PAD DIGITAL

  • Description: The first pad of the japanese Playstation One console, the buttons were in a different order in the first models that were shown to the public than the final model.

SCPH-1030 PLAYSTATION MOUSE

  • Year(s): December 3, 1994.
  • Description: The PlayStation Mouse is an input device for the PlayStation that allows the player to use a mouse as a method of control in compatible games. The mouse was released in Japan on December 3, 1994, the launch date of the PlayStation.

SCPH-1110 DUAL ANALOG FLIGHTSTICK

  • Year(s): April 25, 1996
  • Description: The PlayStation Analog Joystick (SCPH-1110) is Sony's first analog controller for the PlayStation, and is the precursor to the PlayStation Dual Analog Controller.
  • Models: SCPH-1110.

SCPH-1150 DUAL ANALOG

  • Year(s): April 25, 1997
  • Description: Sony's first handheld analog controller for the PlayStation, and the predecessor to the DualShock; the first analog controller was the PlayStation Analog Joystick (SCPH-1110).

SCPH-1200 DUAL SHOCK ANALOG

  • Year(s): November 20, 1997
  • Description: The DualShock Analog Controller (SCPH-1200) can provide vibration feedback based on game activity, and input through two analog sticks. Its name derives from its dual vibration motors.
