Overview[edit | edit source]

  • All PS2 consoles up to the M-chassis (GH-052 board, Model No. SCPH-77XXX) use 2 RDRAM chips with 16 MB each for a total of 32 MB.
  • All later PS2 consoles (SCPH-79XXX and onwards) have the RDRAM integrated into the main SoC.
  • All PSX consoles use 2 RDRAM chips with 36 MB each for a total of 72 MB (the system actually uses only 64 MB).
  • PlayStation 2 Tool has 128 MB of RDRAM
