This page lists world languages in licensed and unlicensed games, and programming languages.

World languages[edit | edit source]

Licensed[edit | edit source]

NTSC[edit | edit source]

NTSC-U[edit | edit source]

In the NTSC-U (North America) region, games are in English.

NTSC-J[edit | edit source]

In the NTSC-J (Japan) region, games are in Japanese, hence the J.

PAL[edit | edit source]

In the PAL (Europe) region, games are in English, German, French, Italian or Spanish.

Unlicensed[edit | edit source]

Unlicensed games on PS1 are translated games for other countries. These languages are Czech, Polish, Russian, and Turkish.
